Introduction

The INTER-IoT framework, INTER Framework or INTER-FW, provides a way to homogeneize and generalize the use of the interoperability layered infrastructure in real scenarios with a use-case orieted purpose. The INTER-FW is composed by three main results:

  1. Software development framework: A comprehensive combination of documentation, templates, patterns and examples to allow the application and extensibility of the INTER-IoT interoperability patterns. It is mainly distributed in these docs.
  2. Configuration framework and toolset: Also referred in documentation as Configuration and Management Framework or Instantiation, configuration and management framework and toolset, it is a web based application which unifies in a single environment the monitoring, management and configuration of the different IoT components (sensors, network elements, gateways, platforms...) at each interoperability layer. This element also includes key cross-layer elements management, such as authentication, authorization configurations and user management. A public link to a test deployment can be found here.
  3. INTER-API: A global, unified API to offer a single-entry point to application and services developers, either platform owners or third parties.
